Week 2.29: Happy Anniversary is in honor of a very special day in my life...April 1st. Which, technically, is tomorrow; but, I'm giving you notice so you can wish me Happy Anniversary. (wink)
While the majority of the world celebrates fools tomorrow, I celebrate a new life, a renewed dedication, and falling in love. True love. The love I have for God and that He has for me. Initially, April 1st meant the day I "officially" got together with my high school sweetheart. Then, it was the day the fool left me. A year later (and every year since) it's been a day of thankfulness and reflection.
It turns out, my divorce was the worst and (more importantly) BEST thing that's ever happened to me. And since I'm a "glass-half-full" kind of girl, I celebrate the best day of my life so far...the day I got my life back. The day I started living in freedom again. A lot of people were involved in the first year or two of me getting my life back, you know who you are...and a very special place was involved: Kauai.
And since I've been meaning to compile some of my favorite photos from those years, I decided to do it as a Happy Anniversary gift to myself...and my Project 52 readers. It was really hard narrowing down my favorites; remember how much I love Kauai when you see how many pictures made the cut, okay?
Also, enjoy the song, He Lei No Kamaile, by Keali'i Reichel, one of my favorite Hawaiian singers. (I didn't take the pictures in the thumbnail video, by the way...just the 150+ in the actual slide show that's playing...And, yes, I named them all...I'm ocd, remember?)

Well now. I guess that makes two of us. Except opposite situation. Ha. I can't wait to see pics and hear music and my silly phone isn't registering. Much love, Sarah, and that's an understatement.
