Week 39: Les Amis is dedicated to my dear Wahkuna. In my own opinion, we just finished our most successful, amazing and fun trip to date. Seven sunny days straight in spectacularly beautiful Seattle saw us go up hill and down dale from shore to shore. The greater Seattle area was photographed with great dedication and zeal by Les Amis.I think this trip was even more special to me because I found out brand new things about my old friend. Turns out she dislikes katsup...and honey glazed meats...and she could live without meat for the rest of her life. She makes a mean breakfast scramble. Dark sodas are taboo. She wants to ride an elephant in Thailand. And she's recently acknowledged that she's truly a country girl.
Funny how you can know someone and love them and talk to them fairly frequently yet miss little things you never knew until you spend an extended time with them. I'm so thankful were able to spend that extended time together.
While we were at the Seattle Cherry Blossom Festival we saw some poetry quotes and I wanted to share one of my favorites with you for Week 39: Les Amis.
They came this afternoon to say goodbye,
but now they keep saying hello and hello,
peering into each other's faces,
slow to let go of each other's hands.

I am so thankful that I have such a good friend who holds my hand and keeps saying "hello" and"hello" without ever saying "goodbye." Thank you, Wahkuna for yet another unforgettable trip. I look forward to even more adventuring.

I don't know how you do it...how you accomplish so much. You are brilliant. Thank you for always being the one to say "hello..hello." over and over again.
