In reading my preceeding few blogs it's been made quite apparent that finals loom...and yet most of you have not seen my graphic design work, so this week I present you with Week 20: "All American Diner" Sculpture....This sculpture was done for a design to enter Print magazine's annual student cover competition.
First I give you the before shot:

And now the after:

This is what I did with my Friday night...And I have to say: I missed my Wasabi Pea, Daisy Mayhem, desperately!! Her genius vision when viewing the very ordinary is extraordinarily amazing...I hope I make her proud with this!
I did this sculpture in one shot (read: 2 hour stint) and received approval of my sculpture, photos and design layout in one day, the fastest turnaround thus far in my design life. Mind you, my concept process was painfully long, but once I got to my concept: "Create Your Own Escape Universe," it was more fun that I could've imagined!
Special thanks to Sasha Ruby who accompanied my on this adventure and watched my plate to make sure our high-efficiency waitress didn't clear my work for me. :)
Here's to the last 7 days of finals!! Yay!
