Week 3.22: I Recommend...Part 2

Week 3.22: I Recommend...Part 2 is a photo I took while I was sitting in my car waiting for the engine (and myself) to warm up enough to drive. It was obviously a winter morning with frost sparkling on my windshield and the bare branches of the trees reaching heavenward. And even though summer is my favorite season, this freezing cold start to the day was spectacular. This photo has been hanging around and tied to some verses in my mind for a while. And now, irony of ironies, on the eve of the Hallmarkiest day of the year, I find motivation to post.

I Recommend...the following verses:
When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned like a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.
Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me completely.
Three things will last forever-faith, hope and love-and the greatest of these is love.

I Recommend...the New Living Translation and I Corinthians 13:11-13. Yes, the famous love chapter that everyone has heard at a wedding ends in those three verses.

I Recommend...taking the time to photograph frost on your windshield. Obviously.

I Recommend...looking for how the world around us shouts out the glory of our Creator. He knows us completely. Why not spend your life trying to know Him?

I Recommend...celebrating the love that you DO have rather than lamenting the love that you don't have.

I Recommend...embracing the puzzling reflections and not running from them.

I Recommend...telling the people you love how and why you love them.

I Recommend...accepting a limitation within yourself or someone else...and still hoping for healing.

I Recommend...sharing your burdens and joys with others.

I Recommend...believing the best is still around the bend.

I Recommend...picking up the phone...even when you don't have time.

I Recommend...faith.

I Recommend...hope.

I Recommend...love.

I Recommend...keeping a proper perspective on the greatest of all: love.

And speaking of love, I recommend a great new album being released tomorrow (2/14) by none other than the amazing Rosie Thomas. It's called With Love. How appropriate.

Ahhh...my little heart beat you always say it the best especially - "I Recommend...celebrating the love that you DO have rather than lamenting the love that you don't have." Yes I will take time today to celebrate the love I do have and won't bash V.D. entirely too much. I hope all is well with you and your little family. I love you! ~Momeebee~
