Week 2.48: First Date

I'd like to talk about first dates this week. Everyone's had one. I bet you had at least one memorable one...maybe a few. My best first date (up until recently) was the symphony. I remember the voice over the phone telling me that he realized it was probably way too last minute (only hours before the concert), but if he didn't ask me, he knew he'd forever kick himself for not trying. He was a great guy. It was a great evening.

Then there was the sushi dinner that ended up having a movie tacked on at the end...a few really great moments...He was a great guy. It was a great evening.

There was also my "first" first date with a guy who was crazy over me back in high school. I was completely oblivious...especially because I picked him up and paid for both our movie tickets. (He had forgotten his wallet.) I was shocked when he pulled the old yawn-and-stretch-move (the one where afterward you end up with an arm around a shoulder thing...) I was still in denial when I drove him home.

It all became startlingly clear the next day when I received my first dozen roses. Scandal.

And then, there's my most recent first date. My Last First Date. My Love took me to Black Canyon where I was overwhelmed with eye candy for my lens. So romantic. It makes my symphony date pale by comparison. Of course, I couldn't pick just one, so I made a slideshow. Enjoy!!

PS Press "Play" if you want to hear music from Anberlin called "You Belong Here" along with the slideshow. Oh, and close that stupid Super Pets thing, too. sheesh. technology...

P.S. 1: Congratulations to me for my 100th post. Yay!!!

P.S. 2: Click the following video to see what I think about love & technology.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Sarah! I LOVE that you have the technology video on here! OMG! I'm smiling so big my cheeks hurt. (Whew! Breathe. You are my FRIEND.) Okay. Wait whilst I compose myself.

What a beautiful post!
My favorites in the pictures, was the vastness of the sky, and how their shadows subtly played on the hills and valleys and trees below. I loved the steep gorgeous treachery of the cliffs and canyon... did I see a deer and a little bonsai?

Perfect. You are beautiful.

So congratulations to you, lovely girl. 100 posts! I can't wait until you double it, and everything inbetween.

Love,

She is scandalous
