Week 2.39: So in Love is a photo I took this week. I did not edit it. At all. This picture sums up entirely WHY I am So in Love with the place I call "home."It's not just the country or the state or the city or the part of the city I call home. It's my little second story postage stamp of the world where I lay my head at the end of the day. It's my specific little balcony and the spectacular views I am afforded from there. It's a little slice of glorious and I am So in Love with it.
The funny thing is, I've always loved something about everywhere I've lived. I've been So in Love with little corners of New Mexico, California, Hawaii and Fiji. And I've been So in Love with pretty much every place I've visited. There is something to love about everywhere-if you have the right attitude.
My dad and I were talking about this concept this week. And I have a friend in New Zealand who has been weighing out life and trying to define (or redefine) what "home" means.
I think "home" means being So in Love with wherever you currently find yourself. It's not a zip code or a mailing address or a GPS location as much as a contentedness in your soul. Not that everything is perfect. Not that things will never change. Not that you've finally got it all figured out and squared away, rather, it's knowing that where you are is where you belong...no matter what lies behind or ahead.
This week's photo (which was a real, live moment for me) is a reminder that regardless of what circumstances surround me, I am So in Love. I am aiming for being So in Love for the rest of my life. And it's moments like these that bring greater clarity.
(As an aside: For those of you who enjoy straining your brain over the hidden layers in my posts: I am not talking about anything beyond being content in my own skin-which, by the way, feels amazing.) (haha)

Miss Sarah! I love this one! This was just the dose I needed just now! You are amazing..... your gift with photography, words, and friendship are all so wonderful! love you girl! emily p.
Love this entry and yep, it's all about attitude. Maybe that's why it's sometimes hard to know when to make a move - we just focus on
what makes a place special to us.
And I admit, the last sentence fit me like a glove. A clever intent?
Yeah for being in love with our little postage stamp of a place. 'I like my whole house!' *CLAP!*
Love you, Sarah.
Thanks for being you. Home is where the heart is, but maybe not as much where it is but who is in it, that makes wherever you are. Thanks for being a little piece of family for me. Keep smiling. :)
Enjoy summer monsoons over there. Umbrellas and raincoats, how fun!
