Week 2.32: Blossoming is the result of a wonderful friendship I have with H. May. This week's photo is a late afternoon (my favorite) shot of May's peach tree in her backyard. And this week's post is another installment of Featured Favorite.Blossoming is dedicated to my Featured Favorite, H. May, also known as Fiji's Butterfly, also known as little baby girl Torah Grace's mommy as of April 25th, 2010. Congratulations, MayMay! We got our girl!!! (And I'm glad you named her Torah Grace, not Sarah Bernadette as I had jokingly been putting forth!)
Blossoming is a special photo for me because I've been going to May's house on an almost weekly basis for 3 or 4 years now. Her house is the house where I can roll in totally makeup free and in my pajamas and still feel completely okay about the world. I can go to May's in the brightest of spirits. I can go to May's in the dullest of spirits. I know I'll always walk away lighter in heart and step because I've been loved on by my friend.
My Blossoming friend that I've loved since high school when we were always getting into trouble for giggling all through Economics class with Mrs. Rz. My Blossoming friend that I saw on breaks between college terms when she was in Colorado and I was in California. My Blossoming friend who went to Fiji for 3 years where she met her awesome husband, and father of her 2 amazing children. My Blossoming friend who got me in touch with Homes of Hope in Fiji so that I could work with them. My Blossoming friend who saw opportunity 3 or 4 years ago when we finally ended up in the same town again. My Blossoming friend who opens up her home and her couch and her teacups to pour out friendship and love no matter how crazy her week has been.
May, I am so thankful for your love, your friendship and your endless island hospitality. I love you. I am so proud of you for bringing life into this world in all forms. Thank you for planting a spindly twig that has grown into a peach tree so that I could photograph her lovely Blossoming. Thank you for planting flowers in the garden of friendship and for caring for them with such tenderness. Thank you for a new little girl to love. Thank you for wanting your friends to be important and for holding them so close to your heart. Thank you for loving me no matter what state I've been in. You mean so much to me, my Blossoming, beautiful friend!

This is a beautiful post! How long has it been Sar? Has it been three or four years for us too since we've been in contact again? I almost can't believe it.
But I have to, because life is too short to waste time. I can't wait to be your friend for as long as possible.
Therefore! Wake up early, carpe diem, and treasure every unexpected moment life throws our way.
PS. You are gorgeous lovely with your makeup off. :) I hope you always feel comfortable around me.
Sending love and a smile,
Sarah.
How many do you know anyway? Good grief. ;)
