Week 2.19: Christmas 2009 Favorites

Week 2.19: Christmas 2009 Favorites is not a very original title, I know. But, since it encompasses about two weeks worth of celebration material, I had to make a blanket statement. At the end you'll see a link to the slideshow. It's set to Matt Wertz's Everything's Right. And, yes, everything's right.

In this week's post, you'll see:

1. Four views from my warm and cozy little apartment.

2. Butterfly and Joey with Frosty.

3. Cupcakes from the M88 DJ's Christmas party.

4. Ten pictures from Butterfly's 30th Birthday Tea at Sophia's Place.

5. Grandpa Hervey striking musical gold on Christmas morning with a comprehensive Lawrence Welk collection (from his Santa, Rennie).

6. Christmas treats...including my Grandma Rita's amazing pumpkin rolls (which I made), my mom's biscotti and candy from the gingerbread house my sister made.

7. Nana and Tata Rivera

8. Antique Santa

9. Grandpa Hervey striking literary gold at the Book Elephant...he's holding the children's book Monster's Inc.

10. Lovebirds, Adam and Kat.

11. Gabe, sorting out a reading dilemma.

12. Cousins, Gabe and Nick, showing off their matching scars.

13. Rudolphette

14. Missus enjoying Miss Santa Rory Girl.

15. Adam enjoying Little Mister Kallin Boy.

16. Four shots of the Crespin portrait session I did...including a closeup of Chica, the best behaved dog I have photographed to date.

17. Sockfeet. Rennie, Me & Judy.

18. Those crazy Hervey girls...x2.

19. Awesome glint in a Grandpa's eye...Uncle Steve with Dylan.

20. The seemingly normal Hervey girls with seemingly normal Alan. Note the emphasis on the word "seemingly."

21. Ten pictures from the triple birthday bash for Rory, Kallin and Gabe.

22. Three photos of my Dad and Joey lighting luminarias.

23. Five shots of the 1972 Volkswagen beetle I drove to Santa Fe with Schmee and Rennie...Incidentally, I killed the poor thing by burning out the clutch disc on St. Francis Drive. We then had a fun adventure in the snow as we enjoyed Santa Fe's public transit and downtown plaza followed by a tow home courtesy of the wonderful and generous man known as Alex-who lent me the car earlier that day. Super exhilarating. Super exhausting.

24. My favorite bronze burro decked out for the holidays.

And, now: Week 2.19: Christmas 2009 Favorites

I truly dislike pictures of myself. But I love all of your other pictures and I am grieved that I have completely forgotten that I was apart of a project 52.

IO love your projects. I don't know why but this one made me cry. It moved me that way. Could I get a copy of the second picture of Nana and Tata? Why did I cry you ask? I'm not sure, I know the answer but it is hard to put into words. I love you Sarah, every little wacky bit of you and I know I still owe you Oje. Leah's Birthday??? 2/27???

I hate it when I write a long heart felt comment and it disappears into the ozone. Any to cut to the chase would it be possible to get a copy of the second picture of Nana and Tata? Love you Sarah!!! You are my inspiration for life.

I loved all the joy evident in these photos.
I also especially love the luminaries
photo, it's soft and dramatic at the same time.
